Non-Medical In Home Elder Care

This is a family-owned, private duty, non-medical in-home care company which sends out caregivers to clients who live at home, who would like to remain in their homes when they are no longer able to care for themselves, or while recovering from surgeries or procedures. Caregivers assist clients with the activities of daily living (ADL’s), including meal preparation, light housekeeping, bathing assistance, transportation to and from visits to the doctor or to any other place the client wants to go, grocery shopping, mobility assistance, incontinence care, and more.

Most clients are over 70 and live in their homes. The geographic range is from the San Fernando Valley to the South Bay area, although clients are mainly in the West Los Angeles area where the office is located and where advertising is focused.

A typical client may be suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease (or other form of dementia), ALS, MS, or another disorder that requires assistance. Elderly people recovering from falls or other illnesses are also clients. Some clients are completely independent, but may have given up driving, and need help going to doctor’s appointments, grocery shopping, putting away groceries and enjoy some companionship several times per week.

There are two important points of differentiation between this company and many similar home care company listings. First, a new owner would be taking over a family-owned business, not a franchise, so there is no franchise fee to impact profitability. Second, this company is fully licensed and compliant with the most up to date regulations in the industry. All caregivers are properly classified as W-2 employees.
